A Perfect Circle, Primus, and Puscifer Announce Epic 2024 Tour for Maynard's 60th Birthday

Los Angeles, CA – September 13, 2023

Maynard James Keenan, the iconic frontman of TOOL, is set to celebrate his 60th birthday in spectacular style. Keenan’s two other renowned bands, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer are teaming up with the funk-metal legends Primus for an extraordinary collaborative tour in 2024. This groundbreaking trek, named Sessanta, harks back to Keenan’s 50th birthday celebration, Cinquanta, which was initially intended as a one-off collaboration between APC, Puscifer, and Primus in Los Angeles.

Now, this star-studded assembly of musicians is reuniting for a seven-stop West Coast tour in the spring of the coming year, commencing on April 17th, which also happens to be Keenan’s actual birthday, in Phoenix. The tour will culminate with a two-night extravaganza at Colorado’s legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater.

This tour is unconventional in every sense, but it gets even more special with A Perfect Circle’s return to the stage, marking their first live performance since 2018.

“It took some massaging and some long days in rehearsal, but we managed to seamlessly pull off this three-song rotation at Cinquanta, my 50th birthday show, at The Greek Theatre in 2014,” Keenan remarked in a press release. “Bands aren’t used to simultaneously sharing the stage with other bands, but if anyone can do it, it’s Primus, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer.”

While the bands have not officially confirmed anything, the anticipation for Sessanta is palpable. Zoltron and Zombie Yeti have designed tour posters, likely to be available at merchandise booths.

Tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime event go on sale this Friday, September 15th, with VIP options available.

A Perfect Circle, known for their acclaimed fourth album Eat the Elephant (2018), which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, marked their final live performances during the subsequent tour.

Puscifer, on the other hand, released Existential Reckoning in October 2020, peaking at No. 7 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart. Due to overwhelming demand, the group added several global stops to the tour and even released Existential Reckoning: Re-Wired, featuring special appearances by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Troy Van Leeuwen, Phantogram, and more.

Primus wrapped up their extensive Rush tribute tour, A Tribute to Kings, last summer. Their last studio effort was The Desaturating Seven (2017), which reached No. 3 on “Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart and No. 2 on Top Alternative Albums.”

Maynard James Keenan’s 60th birthday celebration promises to be an unforgettable experience for fans of these legendary bands. Stay tuned for ticket sales!
