Michael Jackson’s biopic, titled “Michael,” set to hit theatres in April 2025, director Antoine Fuqua has unveiled a striking transformation. Jaafar Jackson, the nephew of the legendary “Billie Jean” superstar, takes center stage in a mesmerizing photo that echoes the iconic look of his late uncle.

Renowned photographer Kevin Mazur, known for documenting Michael’s final rehearsal, now captures Jaafar in character as Michael, giving fans a sneak peek into the upcoming cinematic portrayal. The shared image encapsulates the essence of Michael Jackson’s characteristic stage presence, marking a poignant moment in the film’s production.

The biopic, exploring the life and career of the musical icon, boasts a stellar production team, including Graham King (Bohemian Rhapsody) as producer and co-executors of the “Michael Jackson estate, John Branca and John McClain.” Fuqua, celebrated for directing Oscar-winning films like “Training Day” and the 2022 hit “Emancipation” starring Will Smith, is at the helm of the project titled “Michael.”

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Katherine Jackson, the mother of Michael Jackson, conveyed her joy regarding Jaafar’s representation of her son, affirming, “Jaafar truly reflects my son. Witnessing him continue the Jackson legacy as an entertainer is truly heartwarming.”

The star-studded cast also features Nia Long as Katherine Jackson and Colman Domingo, an Oscar nominee, portraying the controversial Jackson family patriarch, Joe Jackson. The early years of Michael’s career with the Jackson 5 will be portrayed by nine-year-old actor JulianoKrueValdi.

As anticipation builds, the film is set to provide a comprehensive and intimate look into the life of Michael Jackson, promising an immersive experience for fans and newcomers alike. Scheduled for release in April 2025, “Michael” is poised to be a cinematic tribute to the enduring legacy of the King of Pop.
