PAHLAJ NIHALANI'S AVATAR

Before the world knew about his rejection of James Cameron's "Avatar," Govinda was offered Pahlaj Nihalani's "Avatar." In this version, he was slated to play a sports coach, and Sunny Deol was also considered for a role in the project.

GADAR: EK PREM KATHA (2001)

"Gadar: Ek Prem Katha" could have been a different cinematic experience if Govinda had accepted the role of Tara Singh, a character that ultimately went to Sunny Deol. Director Anil Sharma clarified that the movie was discussed with Govinda but not officially offered.

TAAL (1999)

Subhash Ghai's musical drama "Taal" featured Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles. Govinda was initially offered the part of Manav but declined due to scheduling conflicts and disagreements over remuneration.

BR CHOPRA'S MAHABHARATA (1988-1990)

DEVDAS (2002)

The opulent adaptation of the classic novel "Devdas" by Sanjay Leela Bhansali showcased the talents of Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and Madhuri Dixit in prominent roles. Govinda was considered for the role of Chunnilal but chose to decline the offer.

CHANDNI (1989)
