Eid-ul-Fitr is a time of joy, forgiveness, and gratitude, as Muslims express their thanks to Allah for the strength and guidance they received during Ramadan. It is a time to reflect on the blessings in life and to show compassion towards others, particularly those in need.

This important religious festival marks “the end of Ramadan, a month-long period of fasting and spiritual reflection.” During Eid-ul-Fitr, Muslims come together to pray, exchange gifts and greetings, and share meals with family and friends.

In 2023, Muslims across the world will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on different days, depending on the sighting of the moon. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr 2023, the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon was not reported in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and many other countries. As a result, Chaand Raat, the night of the moon sighting, will be celebrated on April 21st.

Therefore, Eid-ul-Fitr 2023 will be celebrated on April 22nd. However, it is important to note that this celebration is not observed in Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia. In these countries, Eid-ul-Fitr 2023 was celebrated on April 21st.

For the Eid-ul-Fitr 2023 celebration in Pakistan, the government has declared a five-day holiday from April 21st to April 25th. During this time, schools, banks, and most businesses will be closed to mark the occasion.
